Goalie Jersey # 1 |
Currently on a Dallas Stars of the NHL contract, while assigned to the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL Corey seems to have had an up and down career. But I will say this, when he's hot, he's a formidable opponent. He brings a lot of athleticism, reflex and experience to guard the net. In person is a very approachable, and casual person. If there is an 'ego' here, it is not readily displayed. An admirable quality in our day and age of lack luster ego filled athletes. |

CHAD ALBAN Goalie Jersey # 29 |
Formerly on a Dallas Stars of the NHL contract, while assigned to the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL Now plays for the Kalamazoo Wings, in the UHL Chad is now playing for the Kalamazoo Wings. This team is another example of a struggling team dropping down a level in minor league hockey so they can stay alive. Chad is from Kalamazoo and continues to wear his #29 Jersey. I wish Dallas had kept him - he was very good - and should provide a foundation for the former K-Wings. I have not had the chance to meet Chad in person, but I will say this guy's athletic ability is very pronounced. He is a very accomplished Minder, and he has visibly improved over the last couple of years. I wish him well while with Dallas, and he may even get some ice time. |

Jason Bacashihua Goalie
|
Currently on a Dallas Stars of the NHL contract, while assigned to the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL I can tell you this, this kid is solid. The question remains whether he will develop - but it looks good for now. If he can solidify and help the Grizz get to the playoffs - I think it will be an indicator. His mentor Corey Hirsch keeps getting rotated up to the Stars this year, so I'm not sure there is enough Mentor ship - but we should have a good idea about it next year. |

Ken Shepard Born Jan 20 1974 Toronto, ONT Shoots L Jersey # 33
|
Plays for the Cape Fear Fireantz - around the Fort Bragg, NC area. It's where I live. He was the main starter for the Fayetteville Force of a few years ago. I have seen him lose 1 game and tonight he posted another solid victory with 39 saves. He is older and has played in the AHL, but still nice to watch a solid confident goalie in person. Ken has officially retired after the season finale at home in Fayetteville on Sunday the 16th. |

MIKE RICHTER Goalie
|
Currently with the New York Rangers of the NHL I was never much of a fan, but he performed quite differently during these past olympics. Even though Team Canada won the Gold Medal 5-2, He helped to establish the US Team as a formiddable force, for the first time since 1980. |

SARA DECOSTA Goalie
|
Previously playing at Providence College of ECAC, NCAA Having seen her and her counterpart Sara Tueting, was awe inspiring as they compiled win after win. Another bitter defeat as they could not win the Gold Medal Game against Team Canada. However it is to date one the very best hockey games I have ever seen. |
